The use of maggot (Hermetia illlucens) oil in artificial feeds on the growth performance and survival rate of saline tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus)

Tilapia is one of the commodities favored by community and widely cultivated in Indonesia. At this time, development tilapia cultivation has entered location marine brackish waters, known as saline tilapia. The increase increased feed production, so price raw materials, especially fish oil, increased. source crude fat that usually used formulations but availability oil limited, increasing. One alternatives can replace maggot oil. Maggot contains 42-48% lipids. purpose study to find effect giving on growth survival method was experimental, with a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting 4 treatments three replications. tested were treatment A (control), B (1.5 ml oil), C (2 D (2.5 oil)) 100 grams feed. 1.4-1.9 grams/head. reared for 30 days 15-liter volume containers, ten density, fed times day. results showed substitution using (H. illucens) significantly affected FUE, SGR, absolute weight, FCR, SR best dose found 1.5 ml/100 capable producing FUE (88.78±3.80%), SGR (7.98±0.23%/day), weight (41 .17± 4.57gram), FCR (1.13±0.05), (100±0.00%).Keywords:BSFBrackish waterSGRProductionWeight
